During my high school years I studied with Mrs. Driscoll and enjoyed every minute I spent at the studio above Morrison's Hardware. We had a wonderful time dancing in the recital and Alyce was a beautiful young woman with a special love for all of her students. Her beautiful picture in the obituary is how I remember her as my dance teacher...many, many years ago...as a chubby little girl going to dance class with my cousin, Kathy Baker, on the top floor of Morrisons Building on Water St...she taught me ballet and toe and made me feel beautiful...I remember being in awe of her ...so sophisticated and beautiful...she worked us hard, but always with respect...I still remember the costume I wore and we danced to Alice Blue Gown and that reminds me of her...I saw her in later years when I worked at Putnams and she was also so cheerful and still lovely. She was a wonderful teacher--caring and kind, and we always looked forward to classes (over the hardware store) and her recitals. Our costumes were glorious!
