Harwinton- Edward Kelmelis, 92, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Campean) Kelmelis.
Mr. Kelmelis was born in Torrington on January 22, 1925, son of the late William and Martha Kelmelis, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, and was a retired deliveryman with the Patterson Oil Company, retiring with over 50 years of service.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Kelmelis and his wife Judy of North Stonington; a daughter, Deborah Ivain of Jewett City; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Gravesides services in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be held privately.
