Gloria K. (Arnott) Alciati

Torrington- Gloria K. Alciati, 81, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Valerie Manor, Torrington. She was the wife of the late Joseph Alciati.

        Mrs. Alciati was born in Torrington on February 8, 1935, daughter of the late James and Edwina (Zubrowski) Arnott, and had been a city resident most of her life. Gloria had been employed as a chef, cooking for several private estates. She had varied interests, some of which included hook rug making, macramé, cooking, and enjoyed watching aquarium fish.

        Survivors include two sons, Joseph Cattey of West Palm Beach, FL, and Robert Cattey of Shokan, NY, two brothers, William Arnott of South Carolina, and David Arnott of Georgia, two sisters, Arlene Renzullo of Torrington and Lois Reynolds of Massachusetts, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by a son, James Cattey and a sister, June Gadonski.

        Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:30a.m. at New St. Francis Cemetery, 863 S. Main St., Torrington. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
