Helen M. (Bedore) Pratt

Torrington- Helen M. Pratt, 96, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center, Canton. She was the beloved wife of the late Dwight Pratt.

        Mrs. Pratt was born in Winsted on July 13, 1921, daughter of the late Adolphus and Mary (Boutin) Bedore, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Torrington.

        Survivors include her stepchildren, Mamie Nomelli and her husband John of New Hartford, Diane Fox of Harwinton, Skip Pratt of Torrington, and Jane McGarry of Salisbury; her step-grandchildren, John McGarry and his wife Tina of Canaan, Jason McGarry and his wife Rebecca of Storrs, Jennifer Davis of Harwinton, Michelle Platt of San Antonio, TX, and Christine Palladino of Harwinton; a niece and nephew, Sheila and Ed DeManuel of Simsbury; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

        The family would like to extend their appreciation to Helen’s wonderful caregivers: Diane, Rhonda, Angie, Lorilee, Wanda, and Dorothy.

        Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Forest View Cemetery, Winsted.
