Torrington- Mary Diulio, 90, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center, Canton. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Diulio.
Mrs. Diulio was born in Torrington on May 27, 1927, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Yurcik) Skokan, and had been a lifelong area resident. Mary was a retired Assistant Registrar of Voters with the City of Torrington, retiring with over 30 years of service. Mrs. Diulio was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Torrington, and a Vice Chairman of the Torrington Democratic Town Committee. She enjoyed needle pointing, knitting, antiquing, and was an avid collector of dolls. Mrs. Diulio will be remembered for her great devotion to her family.
Survivors include a son, Raymond P. Diulio and his wife Agnes of Knoxville, TN; two grandsons, Eric P. Dombeck of Avon, and Daniel R. Diulio of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Diulio was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Dombeck, and two brothers, Paul and John Skokan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 10:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
