Ramona A. (Tapia) Santos

Torrington- Ramona A. Santos, 84, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of Tani Santos.

        Mrs. Santos was born in the Dominican Republic on August 14, 1932, daughter of the late Nicholas and Ramona (Santos) Tapia. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Torrington.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband Tani, include five sons, Rafael Santos of the Dominican Republic, Juan Santos, Luis Santos, both of NY, and Guillermo Santos of the Dominican Republic; three daughters, Fior Santos, Maria Santos, and Flora Santos, all of Torrington; a brother, Achiles Tapia; two sisters, Aurora Tapia and Nina Tapia; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services and burial will be held in the Dominican Republic.
