Tucson, AZ- Vincent Anthony Baiocchetti, Jr. died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Eileen LePage Baiocchetti, proud father of son Vincent Anthony, III and daughter Patricia Louise, daughter-in-law Tammy Lee Taylor, son-in-law Aaron J. Kramer, and granddaughter Ashley Marie and her husband Benjamin Gallagher, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Vincent was born November 9, 1936 in Hartford, CT to the late Vincent Anthony and Anna Barone Baiocchetti. He was preceded in death by brothers Loreto and Raymond.

He served in the United States Military for 45 years and retired in 1999 from the Army National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer 5, Master Aviator.

Vincent graduated from Hartford Public High School and the University of Connecticut. His love of Hartford High was evident. He stayed in touch with fellow graduates as class contact person. Class reunions were a special time.

He founded the Fort Lowell-Apache Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officers Association in Tucson, and with the Association members, held 16 annual golf tournaments to support the Junior ROTC scholarship program in several local high schools.

Vincent was a member of the Rhode Island National Guard and was an early member of The Old Tucson Chapter of the Army Aviation Association (AAAA).

He was a member of the Third and Fourth Degrees, Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Tucson serving in every office.  He served as usher at the 5 PM Mass at St. Thomas Church.

Vincent was a member of Elks Lodge # 2815 and was known for his bi-monthly lasagna and meatball dinners. He loved the friendship of everyone at the Lodge.

He was known for his love of roses. He joined the Tucson Rose Society and was awarded the designation of Consulting Rosarian by the American Rose Society for the Pacific Southwest District.

Vinnie was a man who loved family, life and friends. If you met him, you were a friend.

Graveside services with full Military Honors will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 12 PM at New St. Francis Cemetery, 863 S. Main St. Torrington, CT. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Fort Lowell-Apache Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officers Association, c/o CW4R Harold Lindamood, 443 S. Camino Holgado, Green Valley, AZ 85614-4724.
