Torrington- Walter Joseph Picard, Jr., 49, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Walt was born in Torrington on August 15, 1968 and had been a lifelong area resident. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends for his laughter and unique sense of humor.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, Marion, include his daughters, Olivia and Zoë, and their mother, Melissa; a sister, Lana; three nieces, Kaila, Ava, and Skyla; and his lifelong friends, Tony Ellis and Paul Campbell. Walt is now at peace and rests with his father, Walter Picard, Sr., who passed away last June.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
