Bruce R. Mosher

Harwinton- Bruce R. Mosher, 87, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Valerie Manor, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Remick) Mosher.

          Mr. Mosher was born in Bristol, NH, on November 7, 1929, son of the late Verne and Marion (Hubbard) Mosher, and had been a Harwinton resident since 1957. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, and a retired manager with Northeast Utilities, retiring with 38 years of service. Mr. Mosher was an active member of the Harwinton Congregational Church, a member of the Harwinton Lions Club, the Harwinton Historical and Agricultural Societies, and had been a Boy Scout Troop Leader.

          Survivors, in addition to his wife Beverly, include a son, Dale Mosher and his wife Ruth of Hebron, NH; a daughter, Jerilyn Van Leer and her husband Eric of New Hartford; two brothers, Clyde Mosher and his wife Elizabeth of Vassalboro, ME, and Robert Mosher and his wife Mary Jane of New Cumberland, PA; four grandchildren, Meredith Whiting, Justin Van Leer, Benjamin Mosher, and Elizabeth Mosher; two great-grandchildren, Isabella Whiting and William Whiting; and several nieces and nephews.

          Friends may call Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial in West Cemetery, Harwinton, will be private. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 3:00p.m. at Harwinton Congregational Church, 1 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton.
