Carmen M. (Rivera) Ostrander

Torrington- Carmen M. Ostrander, 53, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of Christopher F. Ostrander.

        Carmen was born in Torrington on August 7, 1963, daughter of Vincente Rivera Colón of Torrington and the late Mae (Meeker) Rivera, and had been a lifelong city resident. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband Christopher, include three sons, Joshua Rivera and his wife Lauren of Enfield, Christian Ostrander, and Tyler Ostrander, both of Torrington; three grandchildren, Mia Lynne Ostrander, Norah Mae Rivera, and Bennett John Rivera; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carmen was predeceased by a brother, James M. Rivera in 2016.

        Friends may call Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 1 to 3pm at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will be private.
