Claudia A. (Scism) Toth

Torrington- Claudia A. Toth, 66, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert T. Toth.

          Claudia was born in Stafford Springs on October 21, 1952, daughter of Juanita (Peloni) Scism of Stafford Springs and the late James Scism, and had been a Torrington resident for over 40 years. She had been employed as a machine operator with the Torrington Company and had also been employed as a waitress at several local restaurants. Claudia was a member of the Nepaug Bible Church, New Hartford, enjoyed home design, decorating, and artistry.

          Survivors, in addition to her husband and mother, include two daughters, Catherine Sklenar and her husband Randy of Bolton, and Elizabeth Toth Cattey of Torrington; five grandchildren, Brandon Sklenar, Alexander Sklenar, and Isabella Sklenar, Nicholas Cattey, and Michael Cattey; a sister, Sandra Pope of Dallas, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Monday morning from 11:00a.m. until time of service.

          At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nepaug Bible Church, 780 Litchfield Turnpike, New Hartford, CT 06057.
