I have not been able to respond to you as this had to sink in to my brain and then I was away. My heart goes out to you and the boys. The smile will never leave any of our memories. A soul that will live on in all of us as we try to do the right thing, the right way, for the world and our town. Tommy - words are not even possible.

Diane was one of the first people I met when I moved to Litchfield 17 years ago. She welcomed me with open arms and share her love of Litchfield with me. She was kind and gracious. The town of Litchfield lost a valuable member of the community.

I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Knox as my 4th grade teacher in 1980/81 -- she was one of my favorites, and most memorable. She was the sharpest-dressed teacher at East School, with her collar “popped”, silk scarf tied around her neck and her high-heeled shoes. But most importantly, she was a beloved educator that will be remembered and missed by so many. One memory that I have of Mrs. Knox, that makes me chuckle every time I think of it, was when she lovingly called her students “meatballs”. I'll never forget her. Extending my sincere condolences to her family, and friends.
