Edna R. Roy

Torrington- Edna R. Roy, 99, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Valerie Manor, Torrington.

        Miss Roy was born in Torrington on January 6, 1918, daughter of the late Edmund and Fannie (Weber) Roy, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a retired operator with the Southern New England Telephone Company, retiring with many years of service. Edna was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Sullivan Senior Center.

        Survivors include several cousins and friends.

        Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
