Eleanor C. (Gaioni) Hallock

Torrington- Eleanor C. Hallock, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Burton Hallock.

          Mrs. Hallock was born in Avon on April 20, 1925, daughter of the late Arturo and Augusta (Rossi) Gaioni, and spent her early years in Italy, before moving to Torrington, where she spent most of her life. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, enjoyed reading, and was a classic movie buff.

          Survivors include a daughter, Diana Dlugokinski and her husband, Robert, of Torrington; three grandchildren, Nicole Hollings and her husband Earle, of Blue Ridge, GA, and Danielle Dlugokinski and her partner, Richard Roe, of Torrington, and Christopher Tofield of Las Vegas, NV; a great-grandson, Earle “Russ” Hollings, IV; a sister-in-law, Inge Gaioni of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hallock was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Tofield; a son, Robert Burton Hallock; a brother, Joseph Gaioni; and two sisters, Vilma Hinchcliffe and Romana Rossi.

          Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 9:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
