Torrington- Eleanor M. Longhi, 92, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Longhi.
Mrs. Longhi was born in Torrington on February 22, 1925, daughter of the late Vincent and Veronica (Mendell) Jeglejewski, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a retired secretary with WSNG Radio and Holiday Handicrafts in Winsted. Mrs. Longhi was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Torrington, enjoyed bingo, music videos, and Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and John Travolta.
Survivors include three sons, David Longhi and Alan Meyer, both of Torrington, and Keith Meyer of Plainville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00pm at New St. Francis Cemetery, 863 South Main St., Torrington.
