Torrington- Emilio P. Bossone, Sr., 91, passed away December 27, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (Hurrey) Bossone.
Mr. Bossone was born in Bristol on February 9, 1927, son of the late Carmine Bossone, Sr., and Anna (Pazinski) Bossone, and had been a Torrington resident for the past 60 years. He was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran and was a retired machinist with the Torrington Company, retiring with over 30 years of service. Mr. Bossone was a communicant of St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Goshen, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Torrington Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and had a great love for all animals.
Survivors include four children, Paula Bossone Frizzo and her husband Kenneth, Emilio P. Bossone, Jr., and his wife Sandi, Mary Bossone Kissko and her husband Darren, and Mark Bossone and his partner Tina Greive, all of Torrington; seven grandchildren, Samantha Kissko, Andrea Kissko, Matthew Kissko, Katherine Bossone, Samuel Bossone, Abigail Bossone, and Crystal Bossone; two great-grandchildren, Alesha Bossone and Xavier Bossone; three sisters-in-law, Ann Michalowski, Urania Stolicny, and Wilma “June” Hurrey, all of Torrington; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, "Jake". Mr. Bossone was predeceased by two sisters, Marcella Higgins and Mary Pagano, and a brother, Carmine Bossone, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 71 North St., Goshen. Burial will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
