Joan A. (Bushey) Rinaldi

Torrington- Joan A. Rinaldi, 77, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the wife of William Rinaldi, Jr.

    Mrs. Rinaldi was born in Torrington on April 28, 1942, daughter of Carmela (Vergaro) Bushey of Torrington and the late Richard Bushey, Sr., and was a Torrington resident most of her life. She was a member of the Sullivan Senior Center, Sons of Italy, and Prime Time House. Joan was an avid bingo player, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and watching sports, especially the Mets and Patriots.

    Survivors, in addition to her husband and mother, include two sons; Darryl Rinaldi and his wife Terri Bambakidou of Torrington and William Rinaldi, III, and his wife Melissa of Naugatuck; four grandchildren, Eric Rinaldi, Giavanna Rinaldi, Jenna LeDoux and Gus LeDoux; a brother, Richard Bushey, Jr., of Torrington; a sister, Barbara Zaharek and her husband Stephen of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews. 

Services and entombment in New St. Francis Cemetery Mausoleum will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
