Were going to miss your stories at the fishing hole come this Summer at Still Water Pond! The endless times of watching you under your truck painting the under carriage and the story of the Big One that got away! Your kindness to all that met you on the boat launch and the big heartedness to all the kids that wanted to fish and you giving your rod to them to bring in a fish!..Sorry to post this so late..I just found out!...Will see you when we get there also!..Tight Lines Brother I know your fishing right now!

My favorite poem "Love Me Now" by kindness, dated 12-29-08
If you are ever going to love me,
Love me now, while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
Which from true affection flow.
Love me now
While I am living.
Do not wait until I'm gone
And then have it chiseled in marble.
Sweet words on ice-cold stone.
If you have tender thoughts of me,
Please tell me now.
If you wait until I'm sleeping,
Never to awaken,
There will be death between us,
And I won't hear you then.
So if you love me, even a little bit,
Let me know it while I'm living
So I can treasure it.
This poem in honor of brother John, Ma and Dad. I loved you all, did what I could, before you passed and cherish the heart warming memories that will never erase.
Love, Deb

Joe is my oldest friend and when you are friends with one Dunay you get the whole family. John was always a great friend to me and at times like a big brother. If you were fortunate enough to be on John's good side you know that he would help you in any way that he can and ask for nothing in return. I will always cherish this friendship.
RIP Burger.

To my younger brother John, who was my "shadow" growing up. Everywhere I went, brother John came with me, even if it meant playing dolls with a neighborhood girl on Clark St. I would get embarrassed when he would ask their mother if he could "look" in their refrigerator. I would take John downtown and in those days we had Woolworths and Murphys. We would get to Woolworths and have icecream there. One time John said he ate too much and couldn't walk back home. I had to call a taxi and get picked up. Next time I knew enough to bring the wagon with me in case that happened again. We often walked with a neighbor or a friend and we were almost on Clark St. when John decided to pull the fire alarm on the telephone pole on Prospect St. It sure made a big noise and we had to run home asap, thinking we would get arrested. John loved to put together car models and sometimes I would look out and there would be one on fire going down the driveway or even a match box car. It was just another one of John's favorite things to do. If u got him mad, watch out, he would grab his "flintstone" bat and chase u. Boy, we didn't want to get hit by one of those bats. The scariest time was when John went missing,he was about 4-5 yrs. old and we just couldn't find him. It was weird because he never left the house or yard by himself and I was in a panic. Started going to neighbors' houses and the 2nd neighbor let me in and said Johnny is right here sleeping on our couch. There I saw him with a bag of chips on the floor next to him sleeping and the TV on. The old man was delighted to have this visitor. I still remember his name Mr. Baker and he had a wife were just seemed content to have John there with them.
Then as John got older on Clark St. he wanted a car. He was 14 or 15 and he got a car that didn't run and the guy and him pushed it down the driveway. He said he was going to fix it himself and be able to drive it. Well, guess what, that car was pushed out just the way it was pushed in. I did give him my '65 mustang convertible that I bought for $500 as I bought another car. I hate to tell u but John blew the engine and I'm thinking how much that car is worth today.
Enough about childhood and teen years, I think u all get the jist. I just want to say what John said to me very recently. He said he lived life the way he wanted to and to the fullest, right or wrong, he had no regrets. I was happy to hear him say that, not knowing he would pass this fast or this young. He was proud to say he had two wonderful adult children and was very proud they turned out so well.
John, I love u with all my heart. U may have gotten me mad now and then but I would do whatever I could for u, even make your fried chicken or stuffed cabbage. U would say I didn't eat this good since we all lived home together.
God Bless u John xxxxxx your sister Deb

Our condolences go out to the Dunay family. John, Joe and Mick have been friends of ours for many years. John " the bird dog " was a great man. I will always cherish the great times we had on Concord road and the chats John and myself have had at Cumberland Farms talking about our old motorcycle days. John will be sadly missed.

((John)) Omg where do i start? We have know each other all our lives. Our parents were best friends before any of us came along, and we are all blessed to know each other. I have spent many days on Clark Street, always having a good time. And the parties definately unforgettable, such great memories. You were a big brother to me,and we were close friends, along with your entire family. Actually we were more like family. I sure do miss you, the sound of your car coming and going. It's just not the same anymore. I remember the night we taught you how to play dice, it became a nightly ritual, with coffee always going. The times you would take a smoke break, in between dice, Bella would always go outside with you. you would call her Chuckie, or Jeffery and say wanna go smoke? And there she would be waiting for you to put her on the leash. I cannot believe you are gone, but not forgotten. You will always have a special place in my heart. Your now with Your mother, father, granny, and jocko. Don't be giving them a hard time now. Your among people who love you there as well as here. John RIP, please watch over all of us.. Love you my brother from another mother.
