Torrington- Judy Ann Bognar, 74, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Bognar.
Mrs. Bognar was born in Torrington on May 30, 1942, daughter of the late John and Beth (Risedorf) Barrett, and had been a lifelong city resident. She had been a co-owner of the former Country Classics clothing store in Torrington. Judy Ann volunteered at the Warner Theater, was an avid reader, and enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Barrett and his wife Maryann of North Port, FL; one nephew, TJ Barrett of Sacramento, CA; and one niece, Kelli Jones of North Port, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:30a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington. Burial will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
