Torrington- Laura F. Madore, 69, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at Wolcott Hall, Torrington.

Laura was born in Waterbury on July 4, 1949, daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel (Barto) Canty, and had been an area resident most of her life. She was a retired machine operator with Connecticut Electric and Switch in Bantam. Laura had been a member of Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury. She enjoyed letterboxing and plastic canvas crafts.

Survivors include a son, Bo Giggey of Waterbury; three brothers, David Canty of Litchfield, Tom Conti of Waterbury, and Allen Canty of Naugatuck; two sisters, Shirley Simpson of Bantam and Donna Mae Bush of Winsted; and three grandsons, Matthew, Tyler, and Garrett. Laura was predeceased by a son, Brad Lomnicky, and a brother, Ernie Canty.

Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury, will be private.
