Greenville, SC- Marianne S. Blouin, 97, died peacefully Friday, May 18, 2018 at Rolling Green Village Health Care Center, Greenville, SC. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Blouin.
Mrs. Blouin was born in Torrington, CT on December 29, 1920, daughter of the late Michael and Veronica (Matuscak) Skarupa. Marianne had been a Torrington area resident for many years, before moving to Florida and then Greenville, SC, living there for the past 14 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Greenville, and had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Torrington, CT.
Survivors include two sons, Randall Blouin and his wife Gayle of Greenville, SC, and Richard Blouin of Virginia Beach, VA, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blouin was predeceased by two sons, Robert Blouin and Gerald Blouin; four brothers, Michael Skarupa, George Skarupa, Jacob Skarupa, and Thomas Skarupa; and three sisters, Veronica Amejko, Helen Moore, and Evelyn Hallock.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at St. Peter Mausoleum, 236 E. Pearl Rd., Torrington. Entombment in the mausoleum will follow the service. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
