Mary M. (Niland) Schepperley

Torrington- Mary M. Schepperley, 83, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Wolcott Hall. She was the beloved wife of the late Woodrow J. Schepperley.

          Mrs. Schepperley was born in Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY, on March 3, 1936, daughter of the late John and Ann (Murphy) Niland, and had been a Torrington resident for 10 years. Prior to moving to Torrington, she had been a New York resident most of her life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Health and Our Lady of Grace Churches in Lindenhurst, NY. She had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren.

          Survivors include a son, John Kier and his wife Catherine of West Islip, NY; two daughters, Mary Dykas and her husband Leon of Torrington and Karen Depinna and her husband Michael of Oxford; a sister, Patricia Greene of NY; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

          Services and burial in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY, will be held at a later date. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
