Torrington- Pauline M. Anstett, 100, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Hubert A. Anstett.
Mrs. Anstett was born in Hartford daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Gresh) Strobak, and had been a Torrington resident all of her life. She was a communicant of St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Goshen, a member of the Torrington Council of Catholic Women, and the St. Francis of Assisi Mother’s Club.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Anstett of Torrington and Thomas Anstett and his wife Rebecca of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Frances Battistoni of Winsted; four grandchildren, Amy Anstett of Brooklyn, NY, Caleb Anstett, and Sabrina Wilks, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Christy Anstett of Denver, CO; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anstett was predeceased by a brother, Edward Strobak.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:15a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 71 North St., Goshen, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00p.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 10:15a.m. to 11:15a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
