Richard Thomas Maxwell

Richard Thomas Maxwell, 45, died Monday, November 5, 2018, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Coats, North Carolina.  

        Richard was born on July 12, 1973, in Bristol, CT. He lived most of his life in CT and in 2004 he moved to Coats, North Carolina. Richard worked as a carpenter, remodeled homes and an amazing artist who loved creating art for his friends and family. He was a hard worker, loved the outdoors and had a huge heart. His absence will leave a void in many lives.

        He was the son of the late Richard Oswald Maxell. He is survived by his mother, Cathy Maxwell Rochelle-Thomas, sister, Katherine Lainhart and her husband (Wes Lainhart) and their children, Logan (12) and Ella (9). Richard is survived by his two children, Sean Hardy (18) and Tori Maxwell(16).

        Friends may call Friday, June 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, with a service to conclude calling hours at 8:00p.m. Burial will be private.
