Theresa J. (Wetmore) Niver

Torrington- Theresa J. Niver, 65, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Robert Niver.

          Mrs. Niver was born in Margaretville, NY on August 23, 1954, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Lawrence) Wetmore, and had been a Torrington resident most of her life. She was a retired employee with the Fernwood Nursing Home. Theresa had attended New Hope Baptist Church, Torrington, enjoyed walking, playing bingo, and going to concerts.

          Survivors, in addition to her husband Robert, include two sons, Timathy J. Niver and his partner Diane Fox and Kevin D.A. Niver and his wife Melissa, all of Torrington; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Seirra Niver; two step-grandchildren, Jason and Brianna Flewelling; a brother, Charles “Skip” Wetmore and his wife Nancy of Torrington; four sisters, Debbie Haviland and her husband Joseph of Hinsdale, NY, Bonnie Wetmore, Roxanne Wetmore, and Lori Brown and her husband David, all of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews.

          Services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 3:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00p.m.
