Alexander Michalowski Obituary

Torrington- Alexander W. Michalowski, 77, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of Beverly M. (Russ) Michalowski.

Mr. Michalowski was born in Torrington on October 15, 1948, son of the late Walter and Anna (Hurrey) Michalowski, and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. He had attended Torrington High School and Kaynor Technical School. An excellent clock repairer, Mr. Michalowski was the co-proprietor of Country Clocks in Torrington. He was an avid reader, enjoyed visiting museums, gardening, and attending hometown plays at the theater. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Beverly, include a daughter, Michelle Gallant of Torrington; a brother, Gerald Michalowski and his wife, Karen, of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at 12:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Entombment will follow in St. Peter Mausoleum, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the funeral home.
