Alfred L. Williams, Jr.

Sharon- Alfred L. Williams, Jr., 75, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Schrom) Williams.

        Mr. Williams was born in Newark, NJ, on February 27, 1947, son of the late Alfred Sr., and Elizabeth (Malone) Williams, and had been an area resident for over 50 years. He was a retired painter, operating his own painting business. Alfred enjoyed watching Westerns, dancing, playing pool, traveling, scratch tickets, and most of all, spending time with his family.

        Survivors, in addition to his wife, Patricia, include three children, Tricia Carey, David Carey, and Tammy Sears; two brothers, Ralph Williams and Charles Williams; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Post, Matthew Post, Amanda Cassell, and Rebecca Sitts; and many nieces and nephews.

        A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00p.m.
