Amy B. (Prendergast) Dunn

Torrington- Amy B. Dunn, 48, passed away, after a long fight with bladder cancer, Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home. She was the beloved wife of William F. Dunn, Jr.

        Amy was born in Bridgeport on May 14, 1973, daughter of the late Raymond and Linda (Mathews) Prendergast, and had been a Monroe resident prior to moving to Torrington 16 years ago. She was employed as a Staffing Supervisor with Alternative Employment Inc, Torrington. Amy was a member of the Milford Riders Club and volunteered with Road 2 Recovery. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, and reading. Amy also loved spending time with their two huskies, Malakai and the late Sierra. She will be remembered for her dedication to caring for others and her determination to make the most of every moment.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband, William, include a son, Patrick Dunn of Torrington; a daughter, Nikole Bepko and her husband, Christopher, of Quaker Hill; a grandson, Zackary Bepko; four brothers, Daniel Prendergast and his wife, Kelly, of Monroe, Robert Prendergast and his wife, Carolina, of Torrington, David Prendergast of Monroe, and Michael Prendergast of Monroe; and four sisters, Kathleen Waninger of Gorham, NH, Sandra Moore and husband, Ed, of Monroe, Janyce Carroll and her husband, Elijah, of Chicopee, MA, and Krysten Prendergast of Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.

        Services will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00p.m.
