Andras Klement, Jr.

Torrington- Andras Klement, Jr., 88, passed away June 13, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Laura (Wick) Klement.

          Mr. Klement was born in Gyula, Hungary, on November 12, 1937, son of the late Andras Klement, Sr., and Elizabeth (Kovacs) Klement, and had been a Torrington resident since 1957. He was a retired employee of the Torrington High School, retiring in 2001. Mr. Klement was a member of the Torrington Lodge of Elks, the Germania Club and The Eagles Club. Andras and his late wife enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. visiting National Parks.

          Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Stolz and Shirley E. Hinkley, both of Spokane, WA; and Tammy Winstanley of Redding, and many grandchildren. Mr. Klement was predeceased by a son, Andras Klement, III, and a sister, Elizabeth Tollar.

          Services and burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be held privately.
