Andrea T. (Thuillard) Capell

New Hartford- Andrea T. Capell, 83, passed away May 14, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Capell, Jr.

Mrs. Capell was born in Torrington on October 30, 1942, daughter of the late Raymond and Myrtle (Fuller) Thuillard, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired X-ray technician with Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates, retiring with 30 years of service. Mrs. Capell was a member of United Congregational Church, Torrington. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, cooking, and traveling, especially to Pennsylvania.

Survivors include a son, Mark W. Capell and his wife, Christina, as well as two grandchildren, Connor Capell and Laura Capell, all of whom were fortunate to live next to Grandma and Pa in New Hartford. We will all be forever grateful to have had you both so close and to have been able to share so much of our lives with you. She is also survived by three sisters, Joan T. Steeves of New Hartford, Susan T. Brodeur and her husband, John, of Hartford, and Anne F.T. Langton and her husband, Robert, of Mansfield, MA.; and a brother-in-law, David Rohrs. Mrs. Capell was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Thuillard-Rohrs; and a brother-in-law, Roy Steeves.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00a.m. at United Congregational Church, 1622 Torringford St., Torrington. Friends may visit with the family at Church Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00a.m.. Burial will follow in Torringford Cemetery.
