Anthony Niver

Hartford- Anthony Niver, 78, passed away December 2, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

        Anthony was born in Torrington on November 28, 1946, son of the late Barbara (Strandberg) Niver, and had been a Hartford resident for many years. He was a graduate of Kings College, Class of 1978. Anthony loved the outdoors, especially birdwatching and gardening. He enjoyed staying active by sailing and running marathons, participating in the Manchester Road Race multiple times.

        Survivors include a sister, Sandra Niver of Waynesville, NC; and nieces and nephews, Tim Niver and Diane Fox of Torrington, Kevin and Melissa Niver of Torrington, Barbara Jean-Palmer of Springfield, MA, Erick Stone of Waynesville, NC, and Rebecca Pachecco of Waynesville, NC. Anthony was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Niver and Wayne Niver.

        Gravesides services will be held on a date and time to be announced.
