Torrington, CT- Audrey B. Craig, 82, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.

        Mrs. Craig was born in Torrington CT on June 8, 1939, daughter of the late Allen T. (Bill) and Dorothy (Dodge) Bickel, and had been a New Hartford resident most of her life before moving to Torrington 25 years ago. Audrey was a devoted mother and grandmother and was especially proud of her granddaughter, Maiya, when she was recruited by Sacred Heart University to play Division I basketball. She had been an active member of United Congregational Church, Torrington for most of her life.  Most recently, a member of the Founders Congregational Church, Harwinton.  Mrs. Craig enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, arts and crafts, and had a love for all animals, especially her cat, Emily. A skilled cook, her recipes were wanted and enjoyed by all who were lucky to have eaten a meal at her table. A true entertainer at heart, Audrey always enjoyed socializing and being with friends. Her outgoing and strong-willed personality will be missed by all who knew her. 

        Survivors include a daughter, Sheridan C. Bergdorf and her husband, Darnell, of Belmont, MA; and a granddaughter, Maiya S. Bergdorf.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
