Torrington- Barbara A. Flinn, 85, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at Litchfield Woods Healthcare Center, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Flinn, Sr.
Mrs. Flinn was born in Torrington on February 25, 1940, daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Klosowski) Gerardi, and had been a lifelong Torrington resident. She was a Communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, and the former St. Mary’s Church, Torrington, where she had been a member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Guild. Mrs. Flinn loved reading, baking, and caring for her family.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Thomas, include three sons, Brian T. Flinn of Derby, Stephen C. Flinn and his wife, Hillary of North Ft. Myers, FL, and Thomas J. Flinn, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, of Torrington; a daughter, Jacqueline A. F. Muller and her husband, Colonel Paul Muller, of W. Kingston, RI; seven grandchildren, Kerry Gilbert, Rebecca Moore, Heather Ulrich, Keller and Raegan Sweet, and Carter and Riley Flinn; five great-grandchildren, Melanie and Natalie Gilbert, Raiden and Phoebe Ulrich, and Gavin Moore; a sister, Dorothy Oryell of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Flinn was predeceased by a brother, Michael A. Gerardi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton. Entombment will follow in St. Peter Mausoleum, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.
