Harwinton-Beverly C. Mosher, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 30th at Wolcott Hall in Torrington, CT. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce R. Mosher in 2017.
Beverly was born in South Alexandria, NH on May 11, 1930, daughter of the late Neal and Annie (Flanders) Remick, and had been a resident of Harwinton, CT since 1957. Beverly was an active member of the Harwinton Congregational Church, the Harwinton Historical Society and served as a Girl Scout Leader.
Beverly thoroughly enjoyed researching and recording the family history. She and Bruce visited many libraries, archives and cemeteries in search of names and dates. Beverly used her computer to carefully curate the information and build the ever-expanding family tree. She also wrote down several family stories which she shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly and Bruce enjoyed many vacations and trips together well into their retirement years. Their travels took them to 49 states and most of the maritime provinces. They also took cruises to Bermuda, Alaska and Newfoundland.
Survivors include a son, Dale Mosher and his wife Ruth of Hebron, NH; a daughter, Jerilyn Van Leer and her husband Eric of New Hartford, CT; four grandchildren, Meredith Whiting and her husband Jamie, Justin Van Leer, Benjamin Mosher and his wife Melanie, and Elizabeth Breeman and her husband Kenneth III; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and William Whiting, and Zachary Breeman.
Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home at 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, CT on Wednesday, May 8th from 9:45am to 10:45am, processing on to Harwinton Congregational Church, 1 Litchfield Rd, Harwinton, CT 06791 for a service at 11:30am. Burial in West Cemetery, Harwinton will follow.
