Beverly C. (Cook) Rizzi

Torrington- It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Beverly Rizzi, 91, on October 5, 2023, at Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation, Canaan.

        Beverly was born in Torrington on September 21, 1932, daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Gangell) Cook. She graduated from Litchfield High School and worked as a bookkeeper at Colonial Bronze for many years. Beverly loved cats, ducks, spending time at the ocean, and traveling, especially to Hawaii. Beverly will be remembered as a devoted mother who cared for her family.

        The family would like to thank the staff at Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care given to Beverly during her stay.

        She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Cook; and two sons, Kenneth Brown and Donald Rizzi. Survivors include a daughter, Gail Lattrell (Eddie); a son, Robert Brown (Caroline); 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

        Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington.
