Torrington- Burton B. Kierstead, II, 39, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.
Burton was born in Torrington on July 18, 1984, son of Marianne (Colucci) Nuzzi of Torrington and the late Burton B. Kierstead, Sr., and had been a lifelong area resident. Burton was a cherished member of the Torrington community, known for his expertise as an HVAC technician and his unwavering kindness. His love for his greyhounds Kaiser and Banjo reflected his big-heartedness, while his passion for golf, basketball, video games, and newfound interest in pickleball spoke to his diverse interests. Burton's warmth and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many, making him a beloved friend to all. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and sportsmanship, mirrored in his devotion to teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Red Sox, and Celtics. Burton will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, Marianne Nuzzi and his stepfather Domenick, include two brothers, Jarod Waldron and his wife, Renée, and Brian Waldron; a nephew, Samuel Waldron; and many friends.
