Torrington- Carl Kuehl, 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 21, 2025.
Carl was born in Torrington on December 8, 1937, son of the late Carl and Ann (Rusczyk) Kuehl. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lillian (Dombroski) Kuehl.
Carl is survived by his daughters; Karen Schmitt, Diane Gioia, Gail Patenaude, her husband, Allen, and Donna Yousefzadeh. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Ron and Heather Schmitt, Jake and John Gioia, Austin, Nate, and Devin Patenaude, and Nick and Sarah Yousefzadeh, and Jillian Coons; a great-grandson, Ryder Coons; a sister, Patricia A. Barella; and he will be missed by his longtime companion, Jeanne Gracey.
Carl was a graduate of Torrington High School and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Following his time in the Military, Carl graduated from a state apprenticeship program in the publishing field and had an extensive career in the printing industry. After his retirement, Carl took pleasure helping his family at Nicholas Pizza.
Carl enjoyed few things more than golfing and spending time with his many friends at coffee, but one of those things was watching his grandchildren play in the many sporting events of their own. An avid golfer, Carl was always proud of his three holes-in-one! He loved the beach and enjoyed vacationing at the ocean with friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:15.a.m from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:15a.m. at the funeral home.
