Torrington- Carol Mary Dodge, 72, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Gaylord Rehabilitation Center in Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late William D. Dodge.
Mrs. Dodge was born in Patterson, NJ, on December 22, 1943, daughter of the late Werner and Mary (Lambert) Zimmerman, and had been an area resident for over 40 years. She was a retired Certified Nurses Aide with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. Mrs. Dodge was a former member of the Laurel Water Ski and Pond Hill Clubs. She enjoyed water skiing, duck pin bowling, and sewing. Carol will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Marchand and his wife Jodi of Niantic, and Kim Marchand of Winsted, one daughter; Kathy Whitney and her husband Steve of Colebrook, two brothers; Richard Zimmerman and his wife Gloria of Winsted, and Charles Zimmerman of Lucerne Valley, CA, one granddaughter; Kayla Marchand, one niece, and two nephews.
Funeral services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
