Clifford G. Peters

Torrington- Clifford G. Peters, 96, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at The Pines at Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances “Jeanne” (Haywood) Peters.

        Mr. Peters was born in Andover, MA, on September 21, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Ellis) Peters. He was the oldest boy of eight children.  He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and a Korean Conflict Army Veteran.

        Survivors include three daughters, Maryann Lyles of Torrington, Elizabeth Franklin and her husband, Jeffrey, of Plainville, and Penny Fisher and her husband, Walter, of Burlington; a sister, Carol Ann Davis of Arizona; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Peters was predeceased by a son, Clifford V. Peters and his wife, Linda, and a daughter, Janet L. Couch and her husband, Douglas.

        Graveside services with full Military Honors will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
