Diana Lee (Stengel) Joray

Torrington- Diana Lee Joray, 69, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Walter H. Joray.

        Mrs. Joray was born in Torrington on September 4, 1950, daughter of the late Ernest and Reva (Miller) Stengel, and had been a lifelong Goshen-Torrington area resident. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Torrington. While her children were growing up, she had been active in both the Parent-Teacher Association and Scouting.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband Walter, include a son, David W. Joray of Goshen; a daughter, Tiffany A. Connor of Torrington; a brother, Ernest Stengel of Torrington; a sister, Barbara J. Zordan of Torrington; three grandchildren, Logan Connor, Kyle Joray, and Danielle Joray; and several nieces and nephews. Diana was predeceased by a brother, Roger Stengel, and a grandson, Colin Connor.

        Graveside services will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St., Torrington. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
