Dorothy M (Heubach) Berenger

Torrington- Dorothy M. (Heubach) Berenger, 71, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025.  

        Dorothy brought happiness to everyone she met. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 15, 1953, daughter of the late Louis C. and AnnaMae P. (Muir) Heubach. Dorothy had been a Brooklyn resident for most of her life before moving to Danbury, and later Torrington. She was an administrative assistant/office manager for orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Francis X. Mendoza, retiring after 30+ years. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, listening to music, collecting elephant figurines and porcelain dolls, jigsaw puzzles, watching game shows, and trying her luck with scratch-off tickets. 

        Dorothy was a beloved, selfless mother to two devoted children, Christopher L. Heubach and Cheryl M. Caroleo. She is survived by her children, as well as, her son-in-law, Joseph K. Caroleo; two grandsons, Joseph R. Caroleo and Michael J. Caroleo; her sister, Patty Blondel; brother-in-law, Kevin P. Blondel; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family. Dorothy was predeceased by her younger brother, John L. Heubach. 

        Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 1:30p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, CT.
