Torrington- Elizabeth A. Ruzbasan, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Ruzbasan.
Mrs. Ruzbasan was born in Torrington on August 4, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Hall) Arnold, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was a retired employee with the Torrington Manufacturing Company, Mertz Department Store, and Adams House. Mrs. Ruzbasan was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of St. John Paul the Great Parish, Torrington. She enjoyed her home, cooking, baking, and most of all, taking care of her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlene A. Serra and Mary A. Roberts and her husband, Christopher; a sister, Bernice Kibbe, all of Torrington; four grandchildren, Stacey Barber and her husband, Dean, Nicole Serra, Kelli Roberts, and Katie Roberts and her Fiancé, Colby Kimball; four great-grandchildren, Violet Keyes, Desmond Keyes, Owen Barber, and Lucy Barber; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ruzbasan was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Funeral services and burial in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington, were held privately. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
