Elizabeth Weeks Obituary

Terryville- Elizabeth L. Weeks, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Lynn Weeks.

        Mrs. Weeks was born in Waterbury on April 19, 1941, daughter of the late Lionel G. and Marjorie E. (Delaney) Langevin, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired bank officer with Thomaston Savings Bank, retiring with over 30 years of service. Lizz was a former member of the Plymouth Center School PTA, Connecticut Trails Council of Girl Scouts, Rotary Club of Terryville, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Waterbury, the White Memorial Conservation Center and volunteered at the Thomaston Library and a local soup kitchen. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, hiking, camping and traveling. She and Bob visited all 50 states at least once and traveled abroad to several countries, New Zealand, Australia, China, Ireland and Peru to name a few. Elizabeth loved organizing her vacation and nature photographs and presenting slide programs at White Memorial and Thomaston Library. Lizz also organized and joined walks with a local walking group which met a few times per week at trails throughout Connecticut.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband, Robert, include three daughters, Cassandra L. Gardner and her husband Bret of Plainville, April E. Stone of Bristol and Christiana L. Olmstead and her husband, Gary, of Terryville, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Michael Langevin of Phoenixville, PA.

        Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
