Evelynn Moore Obituary

Harwinton- Evelynn M. Moore, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Moore.

Mrs. Moore was born in Torrington on October 26, 1942, daughter of the late John and Carrie (Williams) Bright, and had been a lifelong Harwinton resident. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, of Our Lady of Hope Parish. Evelynn enjoyed cooking, being in her kitchen, and caring for her plants.

Survivors include a son, Darin J. Moore of Harwinton; a daughter, Julie A. Moore-Hill of Harwinton; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by two sisters, Gertrude Kowalski and Carrol French.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services and burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington, will be held privately. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on a date to be announced. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
