Gordon R. Keneston

Torrington- Gordon R. Keneston, 85, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Geer Nursing and Rehab, Canaan, CT.

          Gordon was born in Clifton Park, NY, on July 10, 1938, son of the late Raymond and Elsie (Becker) Keneston. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Era Veteran. Gordon was a retired sales manager with Mercury Marine, and had also owned Adirondack Aerial Photo Service. As a young man, he enjoyed flying his J3 Cub, hunting, fishing, and raising Springer Spaniels. Later in life, he enjoyed golf, poker, and spending time with his friends, and especially liked telling cute jokes. He will be remembered as a happy go lucky, charming man who was always prepared to give a warm welcoming smile. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those that knew him.

          Survivors include two sons, Mark G. Keneston and his wife, Leigh, of Ballston Spa, NY, and Scott M. Keneston of Goshen, CT; a sister, Joan Lewis; three grandchildren, Brody, Madison, and Jaydon; and former spouse, Nancy P. Keneston. Mr. Keneston was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Dawes.

          Services will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
