Torrington- Helen E. DePaoli, 95, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Valerie Manor, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario DePaoli.
Mrs. DePaoli was born in Torrington on December 4, 1924, daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Benedict) Field, and had been a Torrington resident for most of her life. She was a retired needle shop employee with the Torrington Company, retiring with 25 years of service. Helen was a member of the Sullivan Senior Center, Torrington, enjoyed reading, crosswords, and was an avid Bingo player.
Survivors include a son, Thomas J. DePaoli and his wife Linda; a daughter-in-law, Eileen DePaoli; a brother, John Field, all of Torrington; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her son, Mario R. DePaoli; a brother, Leroy Field; and a sister, Dorothy Ivain.
Helen’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Valerie Manor for the wonderful care shown to Helen during her stay.
Graveside services in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, will be held privately. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
