Torrington- James P. Lombardo, 66, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington.
James was born in Waterbury on November 6, 1954, son of the late Joseph and Fleurette (Charette) Lombardo. James grew up in Waterbury, lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and returned to Connecticut in 2013. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Era Veteran. James was a skilled machinist, loved fishing, and was an avid Nascar fan. His real passion was watching his granddaughter Ava race at Silver City, Meriden, CT.
Survivors include a son, Jason N. Lombardo and his wife, Aimee, of New Hartford; two grandchildren, Ava and Jase Lombardo; and two brothers, John Lombardo and his wife, Laura, of FL, and Joseph Lombardo and his wife, Judy, of GA. James was predeceased by his twin brother, Anthony Lombardo, and a sister, Barbara Lombardo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Full Military Honors will be accorded following the funeral service. Friends may call Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00p.m.
