Jeanne O. (Ouellette) Gangell

Torrington- Jeanne O. Gangell, 92, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of 74 years of Leroy W. Gangell.

        Mrs. Gangell was born in Torrington on May 2, 1930, daughter of the late Ludger and Felixine (Poulin) Ouellette, and had been a lifelong city resident. She was the co-owner of Rocket Motor Sales in Torrington for the past 65 years. Mrs. Gangell was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, and had been a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Torrington. She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband in their RV, cooking, and baking for her family.

        Survivors, in addition to her husband, Leroy, include a son, Larry T. Gangell and his wife, Kathleen, of Harwinton; two grandchildren, Tara E. Rokosh and Kevin C. Gangell; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas T. Rokosh and Aiden J. Rokosh; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Gangell was predeceased by her son, Lee V. Gangell; a granddaughter, Erica M. Gangell; and several brothers and sisters.

        Funeral services will be held privately. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
