Joan Marie (Flynn) Higgins

Torrington- Joan Marie Higgins, 95, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis F. Higgins.

        Mrs. Higgins was born in Hartford on March 18, 1931, daughter of the late William M. and Mary (Wurdid) Flynn, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired Registered Nurse.

        Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Rebecchi; nephews, James Hoey, William Hoey, Jack Hoey, and Paul Hoey and a niece, Mary Myslow. Mrs. Higgins was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Hoey.

        Memorial services will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, will be private.
