Ormond Beach, FL- John L. Celadon, 79, passed away peacefully Monday, November 22, 2021, at his home with his loving partner Kristine Winegar and faithful dog Coco at his side.
John was born in Torrington, CT, son of Louis and Anita Celadon. He graduated from Torrington High School in 1960 and was employed as a machinist at the Torrington Company for over 30 years before retiring to FL in 2004. John enjoyed cooking, dancing, traveling, bowling, spending time with friends and family and his dog Coco. He was a volunteer at the Prince of Peace Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels in Ormond Beach for several years.
Survivors, in addition to his partner, Kristine, include two children, Anita Mihok of Durham, NH (Chris) and John Celadon Jr. of Torrington, CT, a brother Gino Celadon (Rita) and granddaughter Holley Samuel (Connor) of Durham, NH. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Anita Celadon, two sisters Beatrice Wilcox (Harold) and Ann Fiedorowicz (Raymond).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 E. Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30a.m.
